Four families, four site needs

Earthworks covers trenches, light foundations and outdoor landscaping: a compact mini-digger gets through where a wider machine cannot. Compaction prepares ground, a driveway or a platform before surfacing, with a reversible plate compactor that works forwards and backwards. Power answers to sites with no mains connection, or stands in when an installation fails. Work at height, finally, is handled with a mobile scaffold tower — safer and steadier than a ladder as soon as the job lasts.

Collect from the depot, or delivery to site

Collection from the depot is included. Delivery to site is charged separately and needs an address or access details: gate, width of the way in, slope, when someone will be there. This is not paperwork — it decides which lorry is sent and at what time. A missing address is refused at booking when delivery is chosen.

Competence and safety

Equipment is handed over in good working order, compliant, with its instructions for use. Where it calls for a certificate of competence, the hirer warrants that the operators hold it: that is a clause of the terms, not a formality. Personal protective equipment remains the user’s responsibility. Anything that might affect good working order or safety must be reported without delay.

Breakdown: who does what

Only the hire company may have repairs carried out, whether the cause is mechanical or accidental — a repair undertaken by the hirer is the hirer’s liability. Once told that a machine is out of action, the hire company will fix it, repair it or supply a replacement as quickly as it reasonably can: that is an obligation to use its best efforts, written as such in the agreement, and not a guarantee of continuity.

Length of hire, rate and deposit

The minimum hire is one day. The total is worked out on the number of days chosen and shown before payment, delivery excluded. An indicative security deposit appears on every listing; it is held, not charged, and released once the equipment has been checked. In this demonstration, nothing is ever held.

Booking a machine

You choose the family and the dates, then the machine among those available. The booking screen asks for the quantity, how you want it handed over and, for a delivery, the site address and its access constraints. The total appears before payment, delivery excluded. What the work involves is asked at checkout: it is used to prepare the machine and its instructions.

Area covered

The depots are in Guadeloupe and serve Baie-Mahault, Les Abymes, Pointe-à-Pitre, Le Gosier and Sainte-Anne, along with the rest of the archipelago depending on the machine. The area covered is stated in the site’s legal notice and published in the structured data: it matches what the depot can genuinely honour, not a commercial ambition. For a job outside that area, a message through the contact form lets us look at it case by case.

What to get ready before the machine arrives

A machine delivered to a site that is not ready costs half a day. Three things are enough to avoid it. Access first: width of the way in, slope, surface, gate — a mini-digger will not climb a twenty-centimetre step, and a rigid lorry needs room to turn. Power next, when the machine needs it: what is available on site decides whether a generator has to come too. And a drop-off area, level and clear, where the machine can wait without getting in the way of the rest of the job. These are asked at booking when delivery is chosen, and they are not paperwork: they determine the vehicle sent and the time it arrives. A site that can only be reached in the morning is flagged then, not on the day.
